Unsatisfied Online Shopper

I recently purchased an item from an online seller, Queen B of Glory of New York. Sadly, I didn’t get the service I expected.

It happened when my frugal side came out. I saw that they were having a clearance sale, so I purchased the foundation primer since I’m already out of primer. I resorted to my Benefit Porefessional but since it is a bit pricy, I prefer to only use it for special events. So when I saw the GNY sale, I thought of buying it as my everyday primer.

Everything went smoothly during the placement of order and until the payment. I placed my order on a Sunday and paid the next day thru bank deposit. I was informed by the seller that the eta is between 2-3 days. Actually I find that it’s not normal for on hand items to take 3 days for the delivey. With my online purchases with other sellers, they usually deliver it the next day already. But then, I thought sige keri lang, porefessional muna. However, today is a Thursday and I still haven’t received the item.

I was really disappointed with the courier and partly with the seller. I waited. I gave it a chance. So yesterday, it was on a Wednesday… I received a call from the courier asking if I was still in the office. I don’t usually give my home address since no one will be home to receive the items I buy online. So I always use my office address. Unfortunately, this courier called at around 7pm and asked me to wait for him outside my office building along Julia Vargas Ave. When I asked him where he was, he said he was still along C5. WTH. But then I composed myself and dealt with him nicely. I won’t wait for him along the hi-way at 7pm. That’s ridiculous. The fact that as a buyer, I accepted the obligation to pay for the shipping fee and just to be asked to wait along the road is totally disappointing. Despite such unfortunate scenario, the courier promised to deliver the item the next day, which is today between 8am to 5pm. But then… nganga! No GNY arrived. How convenient.

So I tried calling the seller but it appeared that the seller blocked all incoming calls. How nice of her to do that. I just sent he seller 2 messages but there was no reply. I called the courier as well but I got no answer for all 3 calls I made. After about 10mins from my last call, I got a text from the courier making up excuses on how he was already here within the area and that he wasn’t able to deliver the item because he chose not to park his bike and pay for the parking fee. I don’t think that’s my problem. The fact that the online seller agreed to deliver the item to the address I provided, then that’s where the item should be delivered regardless of whatever issue the courier may encounter, the buyer should no longer worry about that. The courier asked for a house address so I gave him my house address just to get over it. I always thought that couriers deliver only within the regular office hours, but this courier… Ewan. Boo to this BoyAnch courier.

So I sent a message to the Queen B and told her to inform her buyer if the courier will fail to deliver the item to an office address to avoid this kind of hassle. I was really in need of a good primer and I heard from youtubers that GNY is a good product that I opted to try it out but not with this kind of stress. Bumili nga ako ng pampaganda pero inistress naman ako ng courier. What a waste.

Anyway, it was only after that message when the seller replied and constantly apologized for my disappointment. I guess it called her attention.

I was prompted to post this to inform online shoppers and sellers. For the sellers, be wise in choosing your courier and assist your buyers promptly when this kind of problem occurs. For online shoppers, be extra careful because the purchase you make online is not yet fully protected by the law, there is a big risk and know how to deal with your sellers.

I know this is a heavy rant but I just have to share my experience. 😉

Beauty Cosmetics 20-pc Pro Make-up Brush Set Review

I was so happy yesterday that I wasn’t able to finish the judicial affidavit I was drafting. This package arrived at the office. I was really excited to get this beauty loot and try the brushes I purchased online from Beauty Cosmetics. At first I ordered for the Scarlet Travel Kit Brush Set but then I realized that I want a real set instead of just a travel kit. So I opted for the 20-pc Pro Brush Set for only Php 1400.00 plus shipping fee. I ordered it last Tuesday and amazingly, I got it the very next day.

The set comes in a  black leather pouch with a pocket for every make-up tool. The pouch can be easily folded and tied using the knots to keep it secured. It would be easy for us girls to carry it with us even if the brushes have long handles.

The main reason why I ended up buying a brush set is because of this brush. I want a stippling brush to apply liquid foundation. As i have already mentioned in my previous post, I go for coverage and I’m not really a make-up artist who can create beautiful and creative eye make-up. While I was browsing through the internet, there were several brands that seemed to be of good quality based on the reviews I have read. The only question is, how much? And how fast can I get it? So I saw the reviews about the brush sets offered by Beauty Cosmetics and I liked it. It’s affordable and people have good things to say about it so I might as well just give it a try. They offer the Stippling Brush for Php 400.00 so that made me want to purchase a brush set instead of just a single brush.

BC’s stippling brush is amazingly soft. I used it this morning to apply my foundation and it runs smoothly on my skin, definitely not scratchy. I find it better for foundation application than the Flat Foundation Brush.

The Large Powder Brush, Tapered Face Brush and Angled Contour/Blush Brush are soft and dense. I haven’t actually used it yet on my face though.

This Foundation Brush made of synthetic fiber works well with the face powder I used it to top of the blush that might look a little too much and to achieve that flawless finish. It gathers the powder well and applies it perfectly on my skin. I haven;t tried it with my liquid foundation for me to determine whether it picks up too much  make-up which may only come to waste. I’ll blog about it next time once I have tried it with my liquid foundation. ^_^

No idea on this brush.

The main purpose of this brush is to pack colors on the eyes. I didn’t try this today since I opted for a natural look and I don’t need anything too colorful and bright for my eyes. ^_^

I like both blending brushes. I tried it to blend my eye color and it feels so soft and it doesn’t hurt my eye. It didn’t feel scratchy on my eyelids as well. I think this brush can also be used for highlight application on the brow bone.

I think this fan powder brush is usually used for loose powder application. I plan to try it soon once I have purchased the perfect loose powder. ^_^

I think this brush is perfect for liner application. It can easily reach the inner area of the eye.

I plan to use this in creating a V at the corner of my eye for the eye shadow application.

I am not really sure if this is a Lip Brush or an Eye Pencil Brush. ^_^\/

I find it pretty. It blends the eyeshadow perfectly on my eyes as well.

I don’t really think I need a concealer brush since I only use my finger in applying concealer.

I haven’t tried any bent eyeliner brush before. Some say it’s easier since you see how the brush applies the liner perfectly while applying it. The bent provides a better view I guess. But then again it’s nylon brushing through the inner lids which I am not comfortable with.

I used this to brush my lashes after applying my mascara and for my brows after applying my eye brow definer. Good thing it doesn’t carry with it the mascara and eye brow definer I applied.

I recommend this brush set for beginners who are interested to learn the art with a complete set of tools. Yes it says that it’s a professional set but it fits for beginners as well. It has an affordable price for a complete set. ^_^
